“On Friday, April 28, I was on my way from South Carolina to New York. The right front tire struck a piece of wood and exploded, damaging the rim. Luckily, I found Black’s Tire in Lumberton. Larry Allen and his staff assessed the problem asked how I wanted to handle it and took over. In no time they rounded up the proper parts and had my car in perfect running order. Larry Allen and his staff are men with angel wings and dirty hands. The human race is much better off with this caliber of character. It’s not what they do but how they do it. “We are from Virginia and were travelling back from Key West. When we were leaving the hotel (Thunderbird Motor Lodge)on the morning of the 17th in Florence, S.C., we noticed a nail in the front left tire. The manager at the hotel told us to go to Black’s Tire which was a couple of lights down the road. The people there were awesome. They took the nail out, tested for a leak and told us to have a nice day. That kind of customer service is very rare these days and we just wanted you to know we appreciated it very much. STORE 5 - MYRTLE BEACH, SC
My daughter had a blowout on her way from Atlanta, Georgia on Christmas Eve. It was a long and terrifying time sitting by the highway at night. We had relatives that eventually got to her with a wrecker and put on a spare tire for the rest of her journey the next day. We went to the dealership two days later and they stated the tire was defective (with only 12,000 miles on it) and to go to a Michelin dealer on Highway 17 near 2nd Avenue. Once there, we were told my daughter had damaged the tire and it was not defective and the guy would charge me his discount price of $95.00 to replace it.
We chose to come to your store instead and called the Michelin corporate office on the way. Bob Kuehne assisted us and could not have been more helpful! He was professional, calm, and helped my daughter immediately. He put a brand new tire on, filled out the proper paperwork for the Michelin reimbursement and sent her on her way. I wanted you to know that he is the kind of man anyone would be proud to have working for them. I appreciated his efforts immensely!
STORE 7 - N. MYRTLE BEACH, SC
I just wanted to say thanks for the service I received today. On our way to Myrtle Beach from Baltimore, I had one of my tires on my 2006 30 ft 5Th wheel either break or shift a belt. Discovering that, after we were set up for our 2 week vacation, I was left with a choice. Carry in the one bad tire and put a new one on in its place, or remove all 4 and get 4 matching tires. After discovering the cheap Chinese tires that were original to my camper can’t be found at retail, I decided to go for 4 new Goodyear’s. I walked in to Your center in North Myrtle Beach at 8:15 am. I was told they could be done for me the same day, on site where my camper was, saving me the trouble of removing all 4 wheels and leaving my camper supported only by my levelling stabilizer jacks. At 1 pm that same day, a service truck showed up at my camp site. By 2 pm, all 4 tires were changed out and the paper work was being done. I never expected such fast and courteous service. Thanks again for the fast response time to my situation!

To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter in response to the service I received in your store on June 28th, 2008. I am from the Indianapolis Indiana metro area and was on vacation in Ocean Isle, North Carolina this past week. My family was returning home and was passing through Dillon on our way to I-95. We pulled up to an intersection in town and noticed a loud, screeching sound coming from the passenger side front tire. I believed this was not a simple brake problem and thought the problem could be serious. I was traveling with my wife, and my two sons (4) and (2) years of age and pictured a major car expense and a hotel room in Dillon in my future. Our goal was to drive the entire distance in one day to make it home by 9 or 10pm, and this vehicle break down could jeopardize this. I pulled into your store and was given superior service on a Saturday morning. I believe the technicians name was T.J. who fixed our tire by replacing a bolt that had broken on the passenger side front tire. I would like to thank all of the gentlemen at Black’s Tire for an excellent job, and to let them know we made it home around 9:30pm Indiana time and slept in our own beds. Being from the Midwest I have only heard of Southern hospitality but was able to experience this first hand on June 28th, 2008 in Dillon, South Carolina. If I was the owner of Black’s Tire Service I would be proud to have all four of these men working for me in my community. Being a police officer I feel makes me a good judge of character and these men seemed to enjoy helping people fix problems that may seem small to them but major to the rest of the world.

As always I was thoroughly amazed and impressed with the excellent job done by Black’s Tire in helping us inflate over 50 tires on our school buses today. Everything ran smoothly and efficiently.
